Bunut Bolong

Bunut Bolong is a giant hollow tree in the village of Manggisari in Jembrana, West Bali. This old banyan is a natural landmark sanctified by local residents. They also believe that the age of the tree has reached more than a century.

Bunut itself is a tree that looks like a banyan tree. But the difference is that the bunut tree has roots that go straight to the ground and turn into new stems.

It is about 2 hours drive northwest from Kuta. From the center of Kuta take Jl. Raya Kuta and Jl. Imam Bonjol to Jl. Cokroaminoto in Denpasar City. Then take Jl. Raya Denpasar – Gilimanuk to Jl. Pekutan/Jl. Pekutatan – pupuan in Pekutatan. Continue straight onto Jl. Pekutan/Jl. Pekutatan – pupuan.
